Description:ÌýTo validate a model of spine care for chiropractic patients who are age 50 and older. The study will also explore how chiropractors use self-management and online health interventions to support the care of midlife and older persons.Ìý
This ongoing collaboration between the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research and Northwestern Health Sciences University seeks to enhance spine health and self-management among midlife and older adults with chronic spinal disability. Qualitative and mixed methods approaches have investigated patient perceptions of nonpharmacological treatments for low back and neck pain as well as the views of patients and chiropractors toward biopsychosocial models of care, coping strategies, and e-health.Ìý
